This one-night only musical theatre event took place on Monday, May 19th at the Hilton New York and was hosted by the Leading Ladies of MTC’s 07/08 Season, including S. Epatha Merkerson, Martha Plimpton, Marisa Tomei and Julie White.

This year’s star-studded Gala featured fully-staged performances from the casts of A Catered Affair, Cry-Baby, Gypsy, In the Heights, Jersey Boys, Jump and The Little Mermaid. Designed with entertaining in mind, this black-tie benefit event raised over $1.1 million to help bring theatre to over 4,000 New York City schoolchildren through MTC’s education and outreach programs, and fulfill its mission of producing new and contemporary plays on and off Broadway.

The chair of the event was David C. Hodgson, General Atlantic, LLC. Vice-Chairs included Lisa Bochner; Joseph M. Cohen, J.M. Cohen & Co., LLC; Scott M. Delman, DGZ Capital; Joseph H.
